The Center for Oral Health (COH) is a forty-year-old nonprofit committed to improving oral health in vulnerable populations through dental services, education, research, and advocacy. COH designs and deploys demonstration projects putting evidence-based care into practice. Through the Early Smiles Program, COH makes basic routine dental treatment and health education available at schools in low-income areas and other locations. As a champion for the most vulnerable, COH has conducted statewide assessments leading to advocacy for state and national policies that promote an equitable dental care delivery system.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of COH promotes oral health for the most vulnerable. The CEO aligns COH’s financial, clinical, and operational resources and talent to meet its present and future goals. The CEO cultivates strategic external partnerships to ensure a sound funding base for the organization through private and public sources. The CEO must have the ability to address complex issues facing both patients and staff. The CEO fosters a data-driven approach in assessing program impact and opportunities. The CEO embraces and advances a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within a spirit of teamwork, compassion, and staff empowerment.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership: Facilitate strategic planning with Board; uses data to develop and monitor annual activities to meet the plan’s goals. Develops annual budget to make progress toward strategic goals; ensures that annual operating plans align with the budget and strategic plan. Stay abreast of local, state, and federal health and other public policy legislation, reforms, and opportunities to advance COH’s vision.
Program Development and Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives that address oral health disparities and promote access to quality care. Collaborate with staff, partners, and stakeholders to design innovative interventions.
Visibility, communications, and advocacy:
Create visibility for COH by serving as a credible and effective spokesperson, both in person and in writing.
· Represent the organization in advocating for policies supporting oral health equity and access to care.
· Build effective partnerships with community leaders, policymakers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to make change.
· Leverage web, media relations, social media, and public speaking engagements, to raise awareness and build support for COH.
Fundraising and Resource Development:
· Lead fundraising efforts to secure financial support from diverse sources, including grants, donations, and corporate giving, and other forms of sponsorships.
· Create opportunities to expand COH dental services. Build partnerships in new locations, establish relationships with funder, political, and community leaders for new sites.
Organizational Management: Provide effective leadership and management of staff, volunteers, and consultants that fosters a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Finance Oversight: Oversee financial management, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Board Relations and Governance:
Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure effective board operations, governance, accountability, and transparency. Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations to the Board to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $87,500.00 per year
